Hurricane Island Photo Highlights II

1. Stand-In Point, on the western tip of North Haven, a 9 mile crossing from Camden Harbor.
2. Ocean surf on the ledges south of Hurricane Island.
3. Along the shore of Little Hurricane Island, looking north toward the White Islands.
4. Mark Island, last stop before making the 4.6 mile return crossing to Camden Harbor.

I agree: summer is flying by, we have to take the opportunities to enjoy it whenever we can. By the way, I really enjoyed your photos. A different view as opposed to the typical Maine “postcard” shots everybody sees because you are well off the beaten path. Very nice indeed!

Awsome pitures Ray,what a trip, thats alot for 1 day,but to get to that island, you had no choice but to paddle that long.Id love to get a few of us to go on an overnight trip before summers end, kayak and camp. What week could we go?early mid sept is good for me,give me a shout.
